Cultural Competence, Conflict and Communication Series

A strategy-focused professional development training of four 2-hour workshops. Delivered virtually and in-person, this impactful series is tailored for people of all levels in your organization. It helps participants better understand themselves to resolve conflicts and solve problems across cultural boundaries.

Foster a more cohesive and harmonious team environment by enhancing cross-cultural understanding and communication.

The Intercultural Development Inventory® (IDI® ) allows you to see an individual’s or group’s progression along a continuum of cross-cultural competence. Because of this, the IDI provides in-depth insights into how individuals and groups make sense of cultural differences, and also how they respond to cultural differences

Step 1: Individual Assessments 📄

Each person receives the IDI directly to their email. The IDI is an online tool that measures individual’s or group’s progression along a continuum of cross-cultural competence. The IDI measures both one’s mindset and skillset.

Step 2: Group Debrief 👥👥

After all participants have completed the assessment, but before their 1-on-1 debrief, they attend a live 2-hour group debrief.
Participants learn more about each area of cultural competence and the trends in their organization as assessed by the IDI.

Step 3: 1-on-1 Debrief ✍🏾

Each person signs up for a 1-hour debrief to review IDI assessment results, ask questions, and receive their personalized development plan to increase their ability to build bridges with people who are different from them.

Develop culturally responsive strategies for clearer, more effective communication.

The Intercultural Conflict Style Inventory® (ICS®) is an assessment that helps you understand your conflict and communication style, so you can better resolve conflicts and solve problems across cultural boundaries.

Step 1: Receive Assessment

Participants receive a personal link to complete the assessment. Once completed, they will automatically receive their results.

Step 2: Three-Part Workshop Series

Through three 2-hour workshops, participants do the following:

☑️ Increase cultural self-understanding of your own communication and conflict resolution approach.
☑️Increase cultural understanding of diverse approaches others use to communicate ideas and resolve conflict.

☑️Better manage stress and anxiety often present in conflict situations.

☑️ Use culturally responsive strategies to communicate your goals and interests to others.
☑️ More accurately interpret the statements and actions of the other party.
